Electrician illegally installs hidden cameras

A local electrician is facing criminal charges for allegedly installing hidden cameras in the bathrooms of some of his female clients. Authorities are calling him a "peeping tom" and they believe more other victims are out there. The suspect was in court Thursday morning, charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of disorderly conduct, peeking into a private area. The California Contractors State License Board said this is a perfect example of why you should make sure someone is licensed before they come into your home. The suspect, David Clark, was not licensed.

Unlicensed painter sentenced for fraud

A judge in Hayward sentenced an unlicensed painting contractor for taking money for paint jobs he never completed. Khalid Wilson of First Impressions Painting in Oakland has been under the watchful eye of authorities since 2004. The law sent him a message: eight months in county jail and an order to repay his victims... Authorities arrested Wilson a few months later on 13 felony counts.
